"Wow, this book was the best I have read in awhile.
Theres a killer on the loose, one to catch, and a cold case to solve.
It doesn't only involve muder, however. Theres romance, mystery, humor and supernatural in the mix.
I found the pages just flew reading this one. It was a gem to read."

Feast of Saints Reviews

"I'd give it 10-stars if the was an option. Nat is no longer my favorite, Moose is! I love the story that R. H. Whisenhunt has created and anxious to see what's in store for Dom, Nat, and the gang in the next book. Good v Evil. Light v Dark. However you look at it, this book takes you for a ride"

Angela from Goodreads

"I enjoyed this book so much. The battles were descriptive helping my imagination. I almost felt as though I was right in the middle of all the fighting. It was an experience to see what could happen if demons came to take over the Earthly realm. I could sense the commitment by each person as they decided to fight to save humanity. The author wrote this book as if the reader was watching a cinematic movie. Even when describing where scenarios took place, I could envision the scene myself."

House of Lies Reviews

"You had me at 'Demon'
Creepy, eerie... and an ending to DIE for!

Wow where to start? House of Lies- First of please note that this is not an erotic horror, or spicy horror, or any form of romance. Although House of Lies lack any form of the "morally grey" attributes we came to love and obssess with when it comes to the "dark" elements, this book is competing in its own genre, and let me say; it's horror at its finest!
The story follows Jack, Evelynn, and their 3 kids, Audra the oldest, Max the middle child and baby Ethan. They move into this creepy but beautiful house in hopes of starting a new chapter and a fresh start but nothing at Shurlock Estate is as it seems.
I really need to applaud the author on giving detailed back stories of each family member and giving different POV's as the story progressed.
This House is creepy, and holds so many secrets within it's walls with strange figures lurking in dark shadows, feelings of discomfort that someone is always watching, random odd breezes moving throughout the house and let's not forget the tapping on the walls.
Then when you think it can't get any worse, nearing the end the author throws another curve ball and in involves little baby Ethan.
Mannnnn.... the suspense, the thrill, and the unknown was excellently executed. The small details like Evelynn's job interview at Whispering Pines Memorial and baby Ethan playing hide and seek with his "not so imaginary friend" was just little sprinkles of what the actual fu*@# in an already superbly written Horror story. I'm not going into the ending coz I'm still recovering from that lol! It was disturbing, in a good way."

"House of Lies messed me up—seriously This book snatches you up from page one and doesn’t let go until you’re a jittery mess. The Donavan crew—Jack, Evelynn, Audra, Max, and lil' baby Ethan—roll up to the Skurlock Estate all bright-eyed, thinking they’re about to hit the reset button on life. Spoiler: the house was like, “Nah, fam.” Right from the start, weird things start happening cold drafts, shifting shadows, and an eerie tapping inside the walls. And when Ethan started playing hide-and-seek with his imaginary friend? That part gave me goosebumps—I almost threw the book across the room.

Audra, the oldest, discovers a creepy grimoire filled with forbidden magic, and that’s when things go completely off the rails. The way the story unfolds from each family member’s perspective pulls you right into the chaos, making it feel like you’re there, watching everything spiral out of control. The pacing is straight-up fire—had me holding my breath like I was waiting for a bomb to go off. And just when I thought I was smart and cracked the code, the ending sucker-punched me outta nowhere. I’m still not over it.

This book delivers. This ain’t just scary—it’s that slow-burn fear that slithers under your skin and camps out rent-free. The house straight-up feels alive, like it’s side-eyeing you from the shadows, just waiting for the right moment to drag you in. If haunted cribs, mad spirits, and plot twists that slap you sideways are your vibe, then buckle up—you need this book. House of Lies is pure nightmare fuel, and I bet you’re gonna love it.

As a lover of all things paranormal, thriller, horror, creepy, it takes a lot to get under my skin.. but man did this novel get me good!

Come along for the ride as the Donovans move into the Skurlock estate. Right from the moment they pull up in front of the house, things start happening. The suspense builds, the events becoming more intense and chilling. Top it off with an ending that'll knock the wind out of you and drop your jaw to the floor!

This is a beautifully written book with vivid descriptions that completely immerse you in the story, without being too over the top. I was left wanting more right from the first few pages, and making it near-impossible to put down. Instantly - I was hooked! I found my heart racing as I sat on the edge of my seat!"

"This heart-pounding, chill-enducing and entirely gripping book is a must read for fans of the paranormal, supernatural and horror!
Whisenhunt pulls you in right from the proloulgue, setting the scene for a spine-tingling roller coaster ride. MY heart raced with Violets, MY breath quickened, MY hairs stood on end. By the end of the book I was tearing up - i was that entwined with the story that each moment tugged at my own emotions. This book is written in a way that allowed me to perfectly picture each moment. I did not want to put this book down, I read until I couldn't keep my eyes open and I was stealing every opportunity to read, even if it was only a page or two! Highly recommend!"

What Did I Just Walk Into?
A bunch of Gen Z ghost hunters think it’s a good idea to livestream a séance in a serial killer’s old mortuary. Spoiler alert: it’s not just creaky pipes and raccoons in the basement. They open a door they absolutely should’ve left locked, and now Violet’s playing tug-of-war with an entity so old it predates your grandma’s grandma’s god.

Here’s What Slapped:
• That mortuary atmosphere. Mold, dust, old bloodstains—you can practically smell the mildew and regret.
• The Bornless itself. Forget cheap jump scares, this thing oozes dread. It’s less “boo!” and more “I’ve been watching you breathe since page one.”
• Violet’s possession arc is intense. You’re rooting for her while also side-eyeing every shadow, wondering if she’s still in there.
• The family angle works. Margaret’s helplessness watching her daughter fade makes the horror hit even harder.
• The pacing builds like a heartbeat gone irregular—steady, then racing, then flat-out panic.

What Could’ve Been Better:
Honestly? My only complaint is that I now have to keep every protective charm I own under my pillow because Mr. Whisenhunt made me believe sage won’t cut it. Thanks for that.

Perfect for Readers Who Love:
• Found footage vibes in book form
• Demonic horror where the evil isn’t just ancient—it’s practically eternal
• Creepy old buildings that should be condemned but instead host séances (because of course)
• Paranormal thrill-seekers who make you yell, “Don’t go in there!” while you keep reading anyway

Final Word:
The Bornless isn’t just horror—it’s possession panic, cosmic dread, and a reminder that some doors should stay nailed shut. If you like your supernatural horror relentless, suffocating, and a little sacrilegious, this one’s for you."
